Last week, our teammates in Lewisville had the opportunity to witness Caliber live its purpose firsthand. In partnership with the National Auto Body Council (NABC) Recycled Rides® program, two vehicles were donated by GEICO, restored by North Texas Caliber Collision teammates who volunteered their personal time and skills, and gifted to two deserving service members.
Falefasa is a single mother who has served in the U.S. Army since 2019. The gift of a 2019 Toyota Corolla will help her overcome struggles she faced every day due to a lack of reliable transportation, like reporting to work on time and taking her son to frequent, necessary medical appointments.
Julian was recently assigned to a new base. The vehicle he and his wife shared was totaled by an uninsured motorist. With Julian currently deployed overseas, the 2018 Nissan Altima will help his wife connect with the family's new community and overcome transportation hurdles they faced completing everyday tasks.
Over the past 12 years, Caliber and partners have donated over 600 vehicles to military service members, veterans and other deserving individuals.
