Another Corvette that's been cut in half. I've seen this many times. Front half of one body, back half of another. Owner recently purchased this car and was complaining about hardtop, and door fitment. I think we have discovered the problem.

We are replacing the front clip on a 69. After removing the upper surround we saw rust damage in the windshield frame. This is what a lot of people refer to as part of the bird cage. We removed the windshield to repair and found substantial damage. We had to drill out the rivets and separate the corner reinforcement for access. John is going to be grafting in a replacement from a salvage car. This is an unfortunate example of why restoration cost can only be estimated.
