NMRA Commerce Race Recap We showed up to the 2nd race of the NMRA series holding the points lead from Florida. Due to the heat and tricky track conditions, we ended up qualifying #6 out of 9. With the aid of Jake reading the track, and Craig looking at the data, we ended up making it to the 3rd round before getting knocked out. Race recap from NMRA Bradenton We arrived in Florida for the first race of the NMRA series, here at Bradenton Motorsports Park, fresh from our off season ready to pick up where we left off last year with the win at Bowling Green. Well, the car was its usual unruly self, fighting us all the way up to the final round of qualifying, where we finally got solidly in the field in 4th with a 4.35. Race day dawns beautifully, and we line up for eliminations, against are buddy Tony Hobson beating him with a personal best of 4.30, then James Palmer, setting another personal best of 4.29, setting the door car mod motor record, then the legend Manny Buginga, with a 4.30, sending us to the finals against Vinny Palazollo. In the final round, both Dom and Vinny spun, with Dom able to recover, giving us the win. We fought hard this weekend getting the chassis squared away, but all the hard work paid off. Our customer Matt wanted us to build him a bad ass street car, so that is what we set out to do for him. His 2012 GT500 can be driven to the track, blast off an 8.7 pass, then make a quick hop to store with the kids to pick up dinner. It is a fully streetable, with power windows, power steering, factory leather, bad ass machine. Equipped with the new Whipple Gen 5 blower at only 3.0 liters, a turbo 400, NHRA certified 8.50 cage and minimal lightening, this car is an absolute rocket. We teamed up with Jason over at 1320 Junkie Performance on this project, as well as the saucemaster Jon over at Lund Racing, and couldn't be happier with the outcome. Having set the record back in October for the quickest GT500 with the stock engine and L&M Engines, Inc. NSR cams with a blistering 8.79@155, we took it out and tested with the new Whipple 3.0, and upped the ante to an 8.71@157. We went smaller to go quicker! We put in the work to get the 03 Cobra ready for World Cup after we hit the wall back in June, and we were rewarded with a new personal best in the car of a 7.18@190 in the 1/4 mile. We were qualified in the top half of the field, and made it all the way to the 3rd round, where we red lit by .001 seconds, ending our race weekend. Dom NMRA KY

We started the first race in Bradenton Florida with our 04 Cobra, where we took runner up against Vinny Palazzolo. Due to the tragic death of Dom‘s son from a rare heart disease, cardiomyopathy, we did not make the Atlanta race or the Madison race. On June 1 we had an accident with the 04 Cobra when Dom hit the wall at the Cecil Country Street Car Shoutout. We did have Dom’s GT500 roller in storage and completed it in time for the Maple Grove race on June 27 thanks to the help of Ron and Ronny from Rhodes Custom Auto, and Craig Pachar from Triangle Speed Shop. Where we did win in a close race again Blake Copson. Onto Joilet IL for the Super Bowl, where we made it to the semifinals and lost a close race to Shane Fisher. We did win a ring in the super bowl for representing the NMRA in the Street Outlaw class. In Bowling Green, Kentucky in the World Finals we won on a hot 96 degree day against one of the best, Phil Hines. Clinching us a 2nd place finish in points in the street outlaw class....
